3rd Generation Family Formulas!
Greetings, lovely souls!
I am Egypt Lawson, the heart and soul behind Egypt's Treasures. My journey into health and beauty began in my early years, nurtured by the wisdom of my great grandmother, Ms. B. She taught me the art of blending earth's gifts—soil, oils, herbs, and wild plants—for healing and nurturing. This knowledge, deeply rooted in my southern heritage, formed a stark contrast to my upbringing in a bustling city where such practices were less common.

At the tender age of 12, with "diet" as my constant companion, I began a lifelong journey of self-discovery and determination. Standing at 5 feet 7 inches, I awaited the verdict of those unforgiving numbers on a cold, clinical scale. "145 pounds," the doctor stated, and with those three simple words, my life changed forever. The number felt too high; I had overheard the doctor telling my mom that for someone of my height, the ideal weight should be 125 pounds. This realization meant I was carrying around an extra 20 pounds, haunting my thoughts day and night. Read about my diet struggles here.

In our urban apartment home, the rich scents of Hyssop, Lavender, Lemon Verbena, and Geraniums filled the air, a testament to my mother, nicknamed Ree, who had a green thumb. Her talent for harmonizing our garden with the kitchen instilled in me a love for natural living. She was an exceptional cook, making every Sunday a feast like Thanksgiving, drawing family and friends together for meals and conversations. My father, AJ, an excellent cook himself and taught by my mom, enjoyed gardening and fishing, creating unique seasoning recipes. His famous fried fish, rice, and biscuits, along with my mother's vegetable, meat, dumpling, and pie recipes, are favorites I still cherish and use.
I became a vegetarian hoping to lose weight, but ate many more carbs, so it wasn’t the healthiest diet so I still lost and gained weight the same as eating meats. As a former yo-yo dieter, I sought a sustainable way to enjoy food without constant dieting. I always searched for ways to keep my weight down, like dieting 2 weeks out of the month, where I lost weight and gained it all back and more. I was failing to keep my weight down so I turned to diet pills, Ear acupuncture, B12 shots, and diet drinks and teas. This was a crazy time for me, I was moody and lethargic at times, and sometimes I had all the energy in the world. I tried everything.
One day, my mom told me about Medium-Chain Triglycerides, a non-fattening fat (MCT's) she started adding to dad's salads by mixing it in her homemade salad dressings. Dad, who was diabetic, experienced benefits from adding MCT's in her homemade salad dressings. She mentioned dad lost weight and ate less. So upon my research about MCT's, this led to the creation of Food Fuel, where detoxing and moderation allow me to indulge in my favorite foods while staying healthy. This way of cooking and baking steered me towards a healthier lifestyle while helping to keep my weight at bay.
Egypt's Treasures offers health and beauty products made with certified organic ingredients, mainly consisting of plants, vitamins, minerals, and organic oils, free from harmful fillers. This line was born out of a personal necessity, aiding myself, my family, friends, and even pets. During my modeling career, I often used harsh hair products and impure makeup, which led me to seek healthier alternatives for my hair and skin. The products in the Egypt’s Treasures line, developed out of this need, are ones I've used to maintain my skin and hair health. My goal was to create something luxurious and beautiful. I wanted each bottle to evoke feelings of peace, joy, and celebration, sharing these sensations with every woman dear to me.
Our planet offers an elegant bounty of botanicals, clays, salts, and spices, and it's striking how far current trends have strayed towards synthetic chemicals and fillers in mass-produced plastic bottles. My family and I believe in simplicity—effective remedies without harmful ingredients. While we focus on creating products that feel decadent and celebratory, our core values remain simple and grounded. We understand that true beauty comes from within, and a healthy body and spirit are essential for our skin, hair, and nails.

To support this belief, we offer our private family detox to the public, helping to rid the body of gut parasites. Even though we strive to eat healthily, we enjoy indulging in sweet treats and visiting local restaurants. Therefore, detoxification is a vital practice for us.
We have developed and utilized numerous formulations over time. However, supply challenges during the Covid era led to a pause in production. We are now looking forward to gradually reintroducing these products, ensuring they continue to reflect the essence and quality that Egypt's Treasures is celebrated for.
We are excited to offer these amazing products that can support your journey to a healthier lifestyle!
